I’m typing this the night before this post goes up, and I’m hungry, you guys. I am moving my family this month away from white pastas, rice, and breads, and introducing the boyfriend to whole grain-y type things. With veggies. We are still going to have our pizza night, but my bread machine has a recipe for whole wheat pizza dough so we will try that one next. Once we add the herbs and seasonings I’m sure we won’t tell the difference!
So in an effort to be more organized and have less crying about what is coming up this week, I have started writing a list out and posting it on the fridge. So the kiddo know well enough in advance what we are having and it will hopefully cut down on the tears at dinner time.
Sunday: Left over beef stew
Monday: Pizza night
Tuesday: oven baked chicken chicken fajitas
Wednesday: teriyaki steak with brown rice and salad
Thursday:pork chops and apples in the crock pot with salad
Saturday: Stuff pepper soup. So so good guys.
For breakfasts: green smoothies, hard boiled eggs, and pancakes for the kiddo
For lunch: Leftovers, salads, cottage cheese and fruit.
I’m going to try to get healthier this upcoming month, and I know a change in diet (and not snacking late at night) are a great way to kick that off!
