Getting real: Me, with no makeup

I have been super sick for over a week. Probably longer, since it is basically the same sickness as the month before and the month before that. A sinus infection that didn’t go away because they didn’t want to give me antibiotic. I’m all for my body fighting off germs itself, but as a long standing allergic, asthmatic with chronic sinusitis, I knew I couldn’t do it on my own. I held out for eight days this time, before caving and going to the walk in clinic last night. It has not been pretty around here. Because I waited so long, I got pink eye in both eyes on top of it, and asthma attacks as an added bonus. I wish I could say this is the most disgusting thing I will ever write, but I can make no promises…..

Anyway, I have been doing the bare minimum. The boyfriend has been working, cooking, and taking care of the little guy. I spend time with the kiddo every afternoon and at bed time, but I’m struggling.

And my house….. a disaster zone. Today was the first day that I felt a bit better. So this is what my living room looked like before I cleaned it up…. I’m warning you, it isn’t pretty…..

Sorry for the super bright picture, but I don’t even know what to say. It looks better now, but yes, that is a sock in the crack of the couch, and a spoon on the floor. I have no idea why. Blankets are everywhere! Unfolded laundry! Crooked lampshade! Everywhere I looked, I couldn’t help but wonder… what in the world happened in here?  Also, I think my kid must have had a fashion show and thrown his clothes all over the floor.

And as for me…. I won’t even show you what I look like currently. Here is what I looked like four days into it, with no make up on. This is pre-yucky eyes. I like you guys too much to expose you to that.

Lo and me

At least my kid is adorable.
